Mine : My addiction the web began at the age of 14 when I first started using chat rooms with a friend in my photography class. His name was Ghostfacekillah and I decided to copy him by calling myself TheGhost. When I started playing computer games online I realised that this name was all to popular and I had to choose another, so I replaced " the " with "Da " and put my year of birrth at the end. "DaGhost84 ". Entering CS:S with this name some years later I relaised that a lot of people did not realised my name was Da Ghost and for some reason thought it was Dag Host. It was slighyly out of my control and I had to bow to fact that Dag was now my name for life... Window-Licker had always called me SirDagglesworth to recognise the fact that I was his leader and soon the name began to take a ring to it. After a while I becaome SirDagglesworth. I then grew bored of this cute sounding name and changed to Dag^Jase and finally accepted my name as Dag when I choose the name of Dagglion for all my MMO characters. To end this I would like to point out my name is Ghost. Not Dag but no1 will ever call me that so Dag will do. Changed to Firefly cus it looked good in fancy italic lettering like all the leet dudes have. Called it eclipse as I thought that was a cool name too. Then I used that alias for all games, Phantasy Star Online, character called eclipse of midnight on GW. Eclipse was my alias for all online games. Put a 3 on the end to make it more individual. It just stuck, sometimes I use 3 clips mcgee now or Ken Masters coz he is the man.   | ||

Got bored of it and instead of shortening it a bit to SotL I changed completely. As sad as it sounds I couldn't think of any indivdual names so decided to have a look in the dictionairy and found apex fairly near the start thank god. And to make it more individual I found a weird symbol that looks like an E in word for my ingame name and also I like egyptian stuff and it looked kinda egyptian [ Edited Sun Aug 05 2007, 05:11PM ] sigh | ||

 Registered Member #8 Joined: Tue Jul 03 2007, 08:48PMPosts: 91 | when i first started playing online games (battlefield Vietnam was my very first) i used the name "Shrike" from the game for Playstation 2 "Red Faction2" there was a chopper pilot called shrike, he talked funny and hadcool spikey hair like me back at the time so i stole that. Then when i started playing cs i looked for a name associated with my origins (i'm from Russia btw) so i came up wiith "Spetsnaz" the russian special forces and added ".Rus" to furthermore reprisent where i was from. Then i added some symbols and became "-=Spetsnaz.Rus=-" Played with that alias for a good while, then eventually dropped ".Rus" and became simply "Spetsnaz" then when i played for "Firestorm" wolf(not alex) always called me spetz while we were in matches so it eventually became just "Spets" because people were too lazy to type Spetsnaz and i cant blame them really I infact like "Spets" more ^_^used lots of other nicknames to root out wankers on our servers "B-Complex","BoomURdead","you dont know me" and lots of those on the spot names. its amazing how people behave when they dont know admin is online. oh i was also known as "7th Sense" when i played for MB2. Used varios extentions of Spets in other games, like Spets.MB in BF2142, Spetsnaz the great in gw, necro and ranger spets in gw also  | ||

So, when it came to online gaming i wanted it to be a bit more unique and came up with 'Jowie' intending for it to be read as Joey - which phailed because everyone pronounced it 'jow-ee'. After a while i cba'd and went with JoeyDoey which in the past 6months has become JoeyLol/JoeyLOLOL/Joey<insert something here>.  | ||
